In a significant move to strengthen India’s cyber defense infrastructure, the government has introduced the Indian Cyber Commando Initiative, aimed at creating a specialized force of highly trained cyber security professionals.
The initiative focuses on equipping selected personnel from law enforcement agencies with advanced skills in cyber forensics, malware analysis, digital surveillance, and threat intelligence. These cyber commandos will play a crucial role in detecting, preventing, and responding to cyber threats including ransomware attacks, financial fraud, and cyber espionage.
Training programs are being conducted in collaboration with leading cyber security institutions and technology partners. The initiative also emphasizes real-time coordination between state and central agencies to ensure rapid response to cyber incidents.
