The Reserve Police Line of Gonda district has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification — issued on May 7, 2026 by ARS Assessment Private Limited, accredited by the United Accreditation Foundation (UAF) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
Superintendent of Police Gonda Vineet Jaiswal travelled to Lucknow to personally present the framed certificate to Director General of Police (DGP) Uttar Pradesh Rajeev Krishna — informing the state's top police officer of an achievement that reflects a systematic transformation of one of UP's district police facilities. CO Line Abhishek, IPS and the Gonda Reserve Inspector accompanied SP Jaiswal at the presentation.
Under the dynamic and forward-looking leadership of DGP Uttar Pradesh Shri Rajeev Krishna, the state police is witnessing a renewed focus on modernisation, technological integration and personnel welfare. A 1991-batch IPS officer with a distinguished track record — including pioneering the Anti-Terrorist Squad and successfully steering large-scale transparent recruitment drives — DGP Krishna has consistently encouraged district units to adopt global quality standards and best practices in policing.
What the certificate recognises
The ISO 9001:2015 certification — valid until May 6, 2029 with annual surveillance audits scheduled in April 2027 and 2028 — was awarded for the Reserve Police Line's performance across a comprehensive scope: reserve police force management, intensive personnel training, equipment and vehicle management, administrative control, advanced welfare services and operational support for maintaining law and order and emergency response.
A transformation with a clear origin
SP Jaiswal credited the achievement to the hard work, discipline and team spirit of all officers and personnel of the Police Line — and traced the transformation to a resolve he made when he first arrived in Gonda.
“When I came to Gonda I saw considerable scope for work in the Reserve Police Line and resolved to make it a high-tech facility. This has been accomplished with the cooperation of our police personnel,” he said.
That resolve has produced a facility now equipped with a modern library, state-of-the-art gymnasium, model barracks, model mess, air-conditioned crèche and childcare centre, an FSSAI-certified police café, multipurpose hall, children’s park, open gymnasium and flood-lit cricket and football grounds.
The ISO certification is a shining reflection of the vision and relentless efforts of Superintendent of Police Gonda, Shri Vineet Jaiswal (2014-batch IPS). Since assuming charge, he has transformed the Reserve Police Line into a model facility through focused infrastructure upgrades and welfare initiatives, demonstrating exemplary administrative skill and a deep commitment to the well-being of police personnel and their families.
The role of Vama Sarathi
The transformation was carried out under the inspiration of Meenakshi Singh, president of the UP Police Family Welfare Association Vama Sarathi, and under the direct supervision of Dr. Tanvi Jaiswal, president of Gonda’s Vama Sarathi chapter — with a deliberate focus on the health, education, mental well-being and quality of life of police personnel and their families.
CO Line Abhishek, IPS, who monitored every aspect of the modernisation work, also played a significant role in bringing the facility to ISO-certifiable standards.
The certification has been received with considerable pride among the district’s police officers and personnel.
