The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) on Friday successfully concluded its prestigious Executive Educators’ Leadership Programme (EDLEAP), with a valedictory ceremony at its iconic Joka campus.
A cohort of more than 100 institutional leaders and educational administrators from across the country completed the transformative one-year programme, which ran from 26 May 2025 to 29 May 2026. The hybrid format combined robust online learning modules with periodic physical immersion sessions at the Joka campus, enabling participants to strengthen their leadership skills without stepping away from their institutions.
In his valedictory address, the Director of IIM Calcutta, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, described the occasion as a new beginning. “This is not the end — it is a new beginning of relationships and academic alliances. You are now part of the IIM Calcutta family,” he said.
Prof. Rai underscored the critical importance of committed leadership in the education sector. He cautioned against reducing educational institutions to purely commercial entities and urged leaders to drive innovation and technological integration while aligning their institutions with the evolving needs of industry and society. The graduating cohort has now formally joined the IIM Calcutta alumni community, with the institute extending continued support for their future journey.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by the Director of IIM Calcutta, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, along with Programme Coordinators Prof. Samit Paul and Prof. Aditi Bhutoria and other distinguished faculty members.
